JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 16, 2019 – There will be something for everyone at this year’s Earth Day celebration from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 27 at Echo Bluff State Park.
This year’s theme for Earth Day at Echo Bluff is "Save Endangered and Threatened Species." Celebrate Earth Day by getting out in nature, discovering all that it has to offer and what you can do to ensure future generations have the same opportunity.
There will be opportunities to help clean the park by participating in "Clean the Creek Walk." During this stream team activity, you can walk or float Sinking Creek through the park and pick up trash and flood debris. You can also hike a trail and clean as you go.
Learning about Hellbenders, taking a guided nature hike or entering a poster contest are just a few things you can do during the celebration. Visit the event to find out more about what you can do to help the environment and endangered and threatened species.
