JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 1, 2018 – Join Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in celebrating its 80th birthday! The park will have a Civilian Conservation Corps statue dedication Oct. 13 to celebrate its birthday and the achievements of the Corps. The dedication ceremony will start at 10 a.m. Following the ceremony, there will also be games, crafts and displays about the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Babler family in the Visitor’s Center until noon. Stick around for a musical performance by Mike Pace at the campground amphitheater starting at 7 p.m. Pace will play a mountain dulcimer providing the audience with mountain folk music.
