Release Date

Jefferson City, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Road and Bridge Facility, will provide a free pesticide collection event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, at 480 Benton St., in Montgomery City.

The collection is open to all Missouri farmers and households, and will take unwanted pesticides including: herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, de-wormers, fly tags and fertilizers containing pesticides. Paint, explosives, fire extinguishers, yard waste, electronics and trash will not be accepted.

Pesticides from businesses, pesticide production facilities, pesticide distributors, pesticide retailers and the like will not be accepted.

The event is the fifth of six events scheduled for 2016.
