The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will provide a free pesticide collection event Saturday, Sept. 19, in Kirksville, to all Missouri farmers and households.

The collection will take unwanted pesticides, fungicides, insecticides, rodenticides, de-wormers, fly tags and fertilizers containing herbicides or pesticides. Pesticides from businesses, pesticide production facilities, pesticide distributors, pesticide retailers and the like will not be accepted. Also, paint, explosives, fire extinguishers, yard waste, electronics and trash will not be accepted.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Charles Krueger – Public Works Complex located at 2001 N. Osteopathy in Kirksville. The event is the fifth and final event scheduled for 2015.
