Release Date

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources, in conjunction with Baker Implement Company, will provide a free pesticide collection event 8 a.m. to 1p.m., Saturday, March 26, at Baker Implement Company located at 1443 State Highway B in Poplar Bluff.

The collection is open to all Missouri farmers and households. Unwanted pesticides that will be accepted include herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, de-wormers, fly tags and fertilizers containing pesticides. In addition to pesticides, the program will also accept empty triple-rinsed plastic pesticide containers up to 30 gallons in size. Paint, explosives, fire extinguishers, yard waste, electronics and trash will not be accepted.

Pesticides from businesses, pesticide production facilities, pesticide distributors, pesticide retailers will not be accepted.

The event is the second of six events scheduled throughout the state for 2016.
