Release Date

The public is invited to spend part of their Cyber Monday at Washington State Park. A hike will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30 starting at the campground showerhouse.

The guided 1.5 –mile hike will follow parts of the rugged Rockywood Trail to the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) quarry location, then to the CCC overlook shelter before returning. The cultural and natural history of the park will be presented by interpretive staff during the two-hour hike.

Participants should wear weather-appropriate hiking attire and are recommended to bring water. Vault toilet restrooms are available in the campground. In case of inclement weather, the hike will be cancelled. This event is free and open to the public.
