JEFFERSON CITY, MO, DEC. 26, 2018 – Give the gift of habitat for fish this year by recycling your live holiday trees. Cuivre River State Park will accept live, undecorated holiday trees through Jan. 10. The donated holiday trees will be sunk in Lake Lincoln in an effort to improve fish habitat. By providing structure and cover for fish, the trees will improve fishing opportunities for park visitors. The drop-off point will be marked with a sign at the back of the Visitor's Center parking lot. This is a cooperative project between Cuivre River State Park and the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Cuivre River State Park is located three miles east of Troy off of State Highway 47. For more information about holiday tree recycling, contact the park office at 636-528-7247.
