Crowder State Park hosts 6.5-mile Leap Year Hike Feb. 29
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, FEB. 20, 2020 – Crowder State Park invites all outdoor enthusiasts and hikers to join park staff for a Leap Year Hike at 1 p.m., Sat., Feb. 29. Participants should meet at the equestrian parking lot for a 6.5-mile guided hike on a portion of the North Thompson Trail and all of the South Thompson Trail. This is an excellent way to spend the extra day of the year exploring the interior of the park before spring arrives.
Participants should bring water and a snack and wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather.
The equestrian parking lot can be reached by driving west on Highway 146 to the town of Edinburg. Turn right on 52nd Avenue. Turn right on Dove Lane. Dove Lane ends in the equestrian parking lot.
