Missouri State Museum hosts "Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism Film Screenings" April 1
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 9, 2020 – The Missouri State Museum hosts "Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism Film Screenings" as part of its ongoing "Landing After Hours" series on Wednesday, April 1 at 7 p.m. The program is sponsored by Missouri State Parks and will be held at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site.
The Jonathan B. Murray Center for Documentary Journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri prepares students for careers in documentary filmmaking. Coursework balances the theory of documentaries with the "Missouri Method" of developing concrete reporting and filmmaking skills through real-world experience. Join students of the center as they screen their short documentaries and lead discussions on their process and subjects.
Missouri State Museum’s "Landing After Hours" events are held the first Wednesday of each month. Programs are held in the Lohman Building at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site. Doors to the historic site will open at 6 p.m. and the program will start at 7 p.m. Come early to explore the historic site (entrance at the track side doors) before the program. The program will be held in the first floor classroom, easily accessible from the south entrance door. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
