JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 20, 2019 – Bollinger Mill State Historic Site cordially invites you to attend the first annual Summer Fun Day event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 1. This event is an opportunity for families, friends and the local community to gather together at the historic site to kick off the summer season. Visitors can enjoy the 19th century gristmill and the oldest covered bridge in the state of Missouri: Burfordville Covered Bridge.

During this event, visitors will have the opportunity to see all four floors of the mill on a free self-guided tour. There will also be large lawn games setup near the mill, such as cornhole, connect four, badminton, lawn bowling, croquet, checkers and more. Sugar Chic Creamery and Straight Line Swine BBQ of Cape Girardeau will both be at the site selling food, ice cream and beverages.

Bollinger Mill State Historic Site is located at 113 Bollinger Mill Road in Burfordville. Take Highway 34 to Highway OO to Highway HH in Cape Girardeau County. For more information about the event, contact the site at 573-243-4591.
