JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JAN. 29, 2020 – Show some love for Missouri forests! Visit Big Sugar Creek State Park for Hug a Tree Hike at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 15. Join park staff for a 3.1-mile hike on the Ozark Chinquapin Trail at Big Sugar Creek State Park. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, staff will highlight reasons to love the trees and the service they provide. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes. The event is free and open to the public.

Big Sugar Creek State Park is a day-use park that contains the 4.4-mile natural tread Ozark Chinquapin Trail, which provides access to the wild area.
