The public is invited to learn more about the art of falconry from a falconer at Thousand Hills State Park. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the event will start at 7 p.m., Aug. 15 at Point Shelter.

Falconry, the hunting of wild game with birds of prey, dates back thousands of years and is still alive and well today. Visitors should bring a lawn chair or a towel for sitting in case the benches at the shelter fill up. This program will last approximately one hour and is free and open to the public.
