JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 28, 2019 – Come to Arrow Rock State Historic Site for the First Saturday Lecture at 10 a.m., Saturday April 6 where Native American artist Reuben Iron Horse-Kent will present "Native American Art." Rueben is a member of the Buffalo Clan of the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska.
A reception and show opening of Rueben’s works will follow the lecture in the historic site gallery. The show will feature his works in various media, including ceramic art, paintings, textiles and sculptures through the end of June. The event is free and open to the public.
Rueben’s works have been featured in several art books and have appeared in collections including the Smithsonian American Indian Art Museum, the Institute of American Indian Arts, the Heritage Museum at Pine Ridge, S.D., and the Southern Plains Indian.
