JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 19, 2019 – Come to Arrow Rock State Historic Site March 23 and 24 for the 29th Annual Symposium of the War of 1812 in the West. The symposium is sponsored by Missouri State Parks and the 1st U.S. Infantry Regiment Living History Organization. The symposium will feature a series of presentations by noted regional and national historians on the War of 1812 and early territorial period of the Trans-Mississippi West.

- 9:10 a.m. - "The Company of Captain Nathan Boone’s Missouri Rangers" by Michael Harris
- 10 a.m. - "Equipping the Mounted Rangers" by Bill Jordan
- 11 a.m. - "1813: The Evacuation of Fort Osage and the War of 1812" by David C. Bennett
- Noon - Lunch Break
- 1:30 p.m. - "New York’s War of 1812" by Richard Barbuto
- 2:30 p.m. - "Colonel Richard Mentor Johnson and his Kentucky Mounted Volunteers"
