JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 7, 2019 – Arrow Rock State Historic Site, Boone’s Lick State Historic Site and Sappington Cemetery State Historic Site invite the public to an informational meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 20, at the Arrow Rock State Historic Site visitor’s center.
Representatives from the site will be on hand to provide information about Arrow Rock, Sappington Cemetery and Boone's Lick state historic sites and to answer questions. The continued operation of the J. Huston Tavern will be discussed, including updates on the rebuilding efforts of the historic tavern after the fire May 17 and the use of a mobile kitchen for the remainder of the year. The public is invited to share comments and ask questions about the sites and their operations.
Input from the public is important to Missouri Department of Natural Resources. These informational meetings, which are being held in all state parks and historic sites, help create a two-way communication. The meetings give staff the opportunity to let people know the cmTent status and future plans for the park or site, and they offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
