The public is invited to spend the day outdoors and help one of Missouri’s most scenic state parks at "Keep Baker Beautiful Day." The annual event will take place from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, April 23 at Sam A. Baker State Park near Patterson.
The event recognizes both Earth Day and Missouri Beautification Month by getting the park in shape for the upcoming season. There will be assignments for all ages. Planting, trail care and general clean-up are just a few of the projects planned for the day. After the work, volunteers will receive a free picnic lunch. Participants should bring a pair of work gloves, drinking water, and closed-toed shoes.
To register, call 573-856-4411 by April 21. In case of severe or inclement weather, the event will be cancelled.
