The department proposes to issue a Section 401 Water Quality Certification to the Metropolitan Golf Foundation, subject to general or special conditions. The department invites the public to review and offer written comments on the proposed certification conditions until July 21, 2024. The public can review the proposed certification conditions below. Other relevant information is available for review and copying upon request. Written comments may be submitted by mail to Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Water Quality Certification, PO Box 176, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0176 or by email to wpsc401cert@dnr.mo.gov. Please include the certification number in the comment letter.

The Metropolitan Golf Foundation requested Section 401 Water Quality Certification to accompany the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' (USACE) Permit for Nationwide Permit 43 for “Stormwater Management Facilities.” The project is located in Section 27, Township 46 North, Range 6 East, Land Grant 02508 and 02759, in St. Louis County, Missouri. The proposed  project includes clearing and grading the existing stream channel and replacing it with a system of in-stream stormwater impoundment lakes connected by culverts and decorative channels. The lakes will then be used for irrigation water source. Impacts include approximately 2,405 linear feet of stream channel.
