The department is holding a public meeting to discuss and receive input on proposed amendments to 10 CSR 20-6.030 Disposal of Wastewater in Residential Housing Developments. The current regulation sets forth the minimum standards when determining the wastewater treatment method within a residential housing development (subdivision) that propose using individual onsite wastewater treatment (septic) systems on individual lots. The department is considering adding a provision for an alternative determination to help developers comply with the rule. The department is also proposing deleting the Multiple Family Housing Units section, as that can be satisfied by meeting an existing exemption listed in 10 CSR 20-6.030(1)(C) 6. With the exception of administrative edits such as nomenclature, verbiage and ensuring the definitions contained within 10 CSR 20-6.030(1)(A) mirror those in 10 CSR 20-2.010, the amendments are limited to adding an Alternative Determination section and deleting the Multiple Family Housing Unit section. All other sections within the rule including the methodology for approval will remain the same. Documents related to the proposed revision are available in the Regulatory Action Tracking System linked below.

Attendance at this meeting may be in person, by conference call or through Webex, using the information below. NOTICE: This public meeting may be subject to audio and video recording.
