Guests can celebrate the German-American musical experience with a concert at Deutschheim State Historic Site. The event will take place on April 29 at 7 p.m. at the Hermann Festhalle located at 237 E. First Street in Hermann.

This concert, the third in the William H. Pommer series, will include a selection of classical compositions by Mozart performed on period instruments. The concert will feature Julie Rosenfeld playing on a Giovanni Baptista Guadgnini violin, made around 1750, with a reproduction Classical-style transition bow crafted by H. F. Grabenstein in Vermont in 2009.  The concert will also include a fortepiano, played by Dr. Janice Wenger, which is a reproduction Viennese instrument modeled after a Walter from ca. 1800, created for the University of Missouri by American Paul McNulty in the Czech Republic in 2006.

This free event is sponsored by Deutschheim State Historic Site with support from the Deutschheim Verein and the Dierberg Educational Foundation and will be held at the Hermann Festhalle, 237 E. First Street, Hermann.
