JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JAN. 26, 2018 – In celebration of Black History Month, the Missouri State Museum invites you to explore the life and work of scientist and famed Missouri George Washington Carver during "Storytime Saturday" on Feb. 3. The program will include the reading of "A Weed is a Flower: The Life of George Washington Carver" and a hands-on activity.

The program will be held at 11 a.m. in the Missouri State Museum classroom in the museum's History Hall. The Missouri State Museum, which is part of the Missouri State Park system, is located on the first floor of the Missouri State Capitol. The program is targeted toward families with children 3 to 6 years of age.
