JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 27, 2018 – The Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation will consider nominations to the National Register of Historic Places during its quarterly meeting beginning at
10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, in the LaCharrette Conference Room at the Lewis and Clark State Office Building, located at 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City. One district increase, one site, and two individual property nominations are scheduled to be considered for listing in the national register.
The list includes the following commercial and institutional properties and districts:
Old Webster Historic District (Boundary Increase), 50-54 W. Moody Ave., Webster Groves,
St. Louis County.
Wilkinson School, 7212 Arsenal St., St. Louis [Independent City].
Stockstrom, Charles House, 3400 Russell Blvd., St. Louis [Independent City].
Sage Chapel Cemetery (Preferred), on Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, 1/3 mile east of Hwy K, O’Fallon, St. Charles County.
The Missouri Advisory Council on Historic Preservation is a 12-member group of historians, architects, archaeologists and citizens with an interest in historic preservation. The council is appointed by the governor and works with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources' State Historic Preservation Office, which administers the National Register of Historic Places program for Missouri. The council meets quarterly to review Missouri property nominations to the national register, the nation's honor roll of historic properties. Approved nominations are submitted to the Keeper of the National Register in Washington, D.C., for final approval.
