JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 8, 2018 – Enjoy the green of nature this St. Patrick’s Day with the Spring Thing Walk at Washington State Park Saturday, March 17. During the nature hike, the park’s interpretive staff will lead guests along parts of the 1,000-Step Trail to examine some of the first signs of spring.

The guided hike begins at 1 p.m. at the Thunderbird Lodge. It will last approximately 90 minutes and will cover 1.5 miles over natural surface. Participants are encouraged to dress accordingly for this outdoor experience and consider packing a picnic lunch to enjoy before or after the hike. A camera and binoculars may also help participants enjoy the experience. This event is free and open to the public.
