JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 6, 2018 – Join the staff of the First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site and Carolyn Tichenor of Creations by Carolyn for the following quilting classes being offered at the historic site during April:
Beginner’s Quilt Block - 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14
Attendees will learn the basic techniques of quilting and complete one patterned block. All supplies will be included. Sewing machines will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own if possible. Class length is approximately two hours, and the cost is $25.
Intermediate Quilted Table Runner - 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28
Attendees will create a table runner approximately 4 foot in length. All materials will be supplied. Sewing machines will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own if possible. Basic sewing knowledge is required. Class length is approximately three hours, and the cost is $35.
Intermediate Quilt Pillows - noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 6
Attendees will complete one decorative pillow with quilted top and decorative edge (if time allows). All materials will be provided. Some sewing machines will be available, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own if possible. Basic Sewing knowledge is required. Class length is approximately three hours, and the cost is $35.
