Each year, state parks and historic sites hold annual informational meetings, which provide opportunities for public input. Facilities will once again be holding these informational meetings throughout the year.

At the meetings, staff will be on hand to provide information about the park and discuss any future plans for the facility. Visitors are invited to share feedback and suggestions about park services and operations.  A full list of informational meeting dates, times and locations is available at https://mostateparks.com/page/66611/informational-meetings

The public is also welcome to provide comments directly to staff at the parks and sites at any time.  General questions and requests can also be submitted to moparks@dnr.mo.gov.

Missouri’s state parks and historic sites are supported by the one-tenth-of-one-percent parks, soils and water sales tax.  In 1984, Missouri voters passed a constitutional amendment that earmarked funding to fight soil erosion and support the state park system.  Renewed by voters in 1988, 1996, 2006 and 2016, the sales tax provides the majority of the budget for operation, protection and improvement of state parks and historic sites.
