Visitors are invited to Prairie State Park in Barton County to learn about life in Missouri while playing Nature Bingo. Nature Bingo will be played at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Sept. 3 and Oct. 22 at the park’s visitor center.
This interactive board game focuses on the natural elements of Missouri, including birds, plants, fungi, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrate animals. Instead of "bingo," the game’s winner will spell "nature." Prizes will be awarded.
Prairie State Park is located in Barton County at 128 NW 150th Lane, Mindenmines. For more information about the event, call the park at 417-843-6711. Missouri State Parks is supported by the one-tenth of one-percent Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax, which accounts for approximately 75 percent of the budget to repair, improve and maintain state parks and historic sites.
