As the weather cools and leaves begin to turn, Missouri State Parks is inviting guests to plan a trip to experience fall fun in the outdoors. The park system includes 88 state parks and historic sites that are offering free public events and plenty of opportunities for outdoor adventures.
"Whether camping, hiking or just enjoying the colorful display that autumn has to offer, our state parks and historic sites are great places to experience the season," said Bill Bryan, director of Missouri State Parks. "Fall is also a great time for special events, and we are pleased to welcome visitors throughout the state to our parks for fall festivals and Halloween happenings."

A Haunting in the Mill at Montauk State Park on Oct. 22
Halloween Spooktacular at Cuivre River State Park on Oct. 22

Fall Kids Art in the Park at Harry S Truman State Park on Oct. 22
Park Hayrides at Knob Noster State Park on Oct. 28
Spooky Tales at Missouri State Museum on Oct. 29
Fall Fun Event at Wallace State Park on Oct. 29
Halloween Happenings at Johnson’s Shut-Ins State Park on Oct. 29
Halloween Brew and Stew at Onondaga Cave State Park on Oct. 29
