JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 5, 2018 – Rush Springs Ranch has been awarded a grant from Missouri State Parks through the federal Recreational Trails Program. The Arch Cave Expansion Project consists of the acquisition of 60 acres and construction of 2.77 miles of natural-surface, multi-use, off-road trails located at 80 Rush Springs Lane in Pineville, McDonald County.
A public meeting will be held at 6 p.m., July 12, at the Check-In Shack at 80 Rush Spring Lane in Pineville. This notice serves to make the public aware of the project and solicit comments pursuant to Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the National Environmental Policy Act.

The Recreational Trails Program is a federally funded assistance program authorized by the U.S. Congress under the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act. Its purpose is to help states provide and maintain recreational trails and trail-related facilities for both motorized and non-motorized recreational use. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Federal Highway Administration and, in Missouri, is administered through the Department of Natural Resources.
