JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 28, 2017 – In response to requests received from the public, Missouri State Parks is extending the public comment period on the future of three state park properties from Dec. 4 through Jan. 5.
Beginning Dec. 4, people will be able to submit comments about each park individually through an online survey they can access by clicking a button on the Missouri State Parks website at https://mostateparks.com.
The three properties, which have not been developed and are currently closed, are Ozark Mountain State Park in Taney County, Bryant Creek State Park in Douglas County and Jay Nixon State Park in Reynolds and Iron counties.
Representatives from Missouri State Parks will be present at three public meetings in early December to provide information about various aspects of the properties and to receive input from the public about the future of the properties.
