JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 1, 2021 – Missouri State Museum and Daniel Boone Regional Library invite the public to a virtual program titled, "Acknowledging Lewis and Clark in Missouri," at
1 p.m., Tuesday, March 16, to learn about explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and their impact on the state of Missouri.
Lewis and Clark, along with their Corps of Discovery team, are famous for exploring a large part of what is now known as the United States. Because of this, they were offered important governmental positions after their return. Over time, they became revered historical figures, and one can find many statues made in their honor.
Adults and teens are welcome. Those interested in attending must register online to receive a Zoom link to the program at events.dbrl.org/event/4868255. The event will be recorded for later viewing.
This program is a monthly series highlighting Missouri’s most significant trailblazers, who made an impact on our culture through major events, leadership, innovation and more, in honor of Missouri's bicentennial.
