Guests can step back in time and enjoy Living History Day at Big Oak Tree State Park near East Prairie on Saturday, Sept. 10. The free event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Demonstrations including blacksmithing, basket waving, flintknapping and other old-time skills will be on display. Exhibits of the Southeast Explorer Mobile Learning Center and World War II uniforms and equipment will be featured. Guests can bring a lawn chair and enjoy the sounds of bluegrass music played by "Bluegrass Revival." Barbecue and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
