Release Date

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 2, 2018 – Children ages 5 to 15 are invited to bring their bicycles and take part in a bike rodeo 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 6 at Confederate Memorial State Historic Site parking lot.

Offered as part of National Bike Safety Month, the bike rodeo will include a variety of activities, including obstacle courses and hand signal drills. Missouri State Park Rangers and staff will also offer bicycle and helmet safety checks.

Participants must provide their own bicycle for the rodeo. Helmets are required, and participants are encouraged to wear other safety gear as well. Registration is recommended and can be made by contacting the site at 660-584-2853.
