JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 5, 2017 – Young historians have a chance to experience history and have some fun at the Hands-on History Summer Adventure Day Camp June 12-16 at First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site in St. Charles.
This week-long camp is an opportunity for young historians to learn about Missouri history and 1800s skills and crafts using an interactive hands-on approach. Each day will be filled with games, activities and crafts exploring the skills and abilities pioneers and Native Americans needed to survive and be self-sufficient in the 1800s on the Missouri frontier.
Each day will have a different theme, including Frontier Skills Day, Native American Day, Keep the Home Fires Burning, It’s Woman’s Work and a Man’s World and Old Fashion Fun.
The camp is for 3rd to 6th grade levels and the cost is $100 plus a $20 registration fee. To register, contact the historic site at 636-940-3322.
