Release Date

Fall Back in Time is an event that gives visitors a chance to experience what life would have been like in the area during the 1800’s. The free event is available to the public from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Weston Bend State Park’s Bee Creek Shelter.

There will be demonstrations of blacksmithing, using a cross cut saw, Dutch oven cooking and cider pressing. The event will have activities for all ages, including crafts for kids and old-time games.

Weston Bend State Park is located at 16600 Hwy. 45 N. near Weston. For more information about the event, call the park office at 816-640-5443. Missouri State Parks is supported by the one-tenth of one-percent Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax, which accounts for approximately 75 percent of the budget to repair, improve and maintain state parks and historic sites. Missouri State Parks is a division of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
