Featuring World Bird Sanctuary
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 18, 2018 – Don Robinson State Park will host a special program titled "Raptor Awareness" 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 27. Presented by the World Bird Sanctuary in St. Louis, this program features birds of prey including falcons, hawks, owls and vultures.
During the program, World Bird Sanctuary experts will show different species of raptors, explain how to identify a bird of prey in the wild and even tell about the secret weapon turkey vultures have. The program will be held in the park’s day-use area on the viewing platform. Participants are encouraged to bring a chair, as seating may be limited. Insect repellent is also recommended.
