JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 12, 2017 – In January, Governor Greitens signed Executive Order 17-03, which requires executive agencies to review every regulation under its jurisdiction in the Code of State Regulations. The order also requires state agencies to solicit input from the public and take action to rescind or amend those regulations identified as needing action.

The goals of the Executive Order review process are to cut red tape, encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, and job growth, and remove needless, unnecessary, or unduly burdensome regulations.

To fulfill those goals, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources is aiming to reduce its regulatory restrictions by one-third.

The department is currently reviewing its regulations and is seeking feedback through its board, commission and council meetings through Dec. 15, 2017. A complete calendar of board and commission meetings dates is available at http://dnr.mo.gov/calendar/search.do.

Comments will also be accepted online, by email or by mail through Dec. 15, 2017.
