JEFFERSON CITY, MO, APRIL 6, 2022 – Join millions around the world in celebration of the 52nd annual Earth Day from 6 a.m. to noon Friday, April 22 by volunteering for an Earth Day work day at Crowder State Park. State park team members will provide a nourishing breakfast to give participants energy to assist with projects such as litter cleanup, trail work, group camp cleanup, invasive plant control and more. Volunteers should meet at the Camp Grand River Dining Hall at 6 a.m. for breakfast and to sign in and receive project assignments.
Individuals, families, groups and organizations are encouraged to volunteer. Registration is required by April 18. To register, call the park office at 660-359-6473 or email crowder.state.park@dnr.mo.gov.
Participants should bring work gloves, insect repellent and drinking water and wear closed-toe shoes.
The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
Crowder State Park is located west of Trenton off Hwy 146.
