JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 19, 2017 – The world of winged predators will be on display at the Seize the Prey event May 28 at Thousand Hills State Park near Kirksville. The event will begin at 3 p.m. at the park’s Point Shelter and is free and open to the public.
Humans have long been captivated by birds of prey and how these aerial hunters use their talons to seize their prey. During the program, the Raptor Rehabilitation Project of the University of Missouri-Columbia will display some of their raptors, including tiny falcons, fearsome hawks and mysterious owls.
Visitors should bring a lawn chair or towel for seating during the program.
