JEFFERSON CITY, MO – Discover the world of birds at the Birds over Baker event May 27 at Sam A. Baker State Park near Patterson. The event will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. in the park’s day-use area and is free and open to the public.
Visitors can learn about the feathered friends that call their backyard home. The festival will feature live bird presentations, guided bird watches, activities, crafts and more. At 7 p.m., the Raptor Awareness Program with the World Bird Sanctuary will present an interactive program featuring Missouri’s spectacular raptors such as hawks, owls and falcons. The program will let visitors experience an up-close and personal encounter with these amazing birds of prey.
