Release Date

Visitors are invited to attend the opening reception of the African American Inventors and Innovators Exhibit at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center in Kansas City. The opening event will be held from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the center.

The opening will feature discussion by Carroll and Sandra Lamb from the Institute of Black Invention and Technology. The exhibit will be open to the public through March 12.

The collection was assembled by The Institute of Black Invention and Technology and exhibits contributions of African American women and men in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Guests will have the chance to view more than 100 inventions, reproductions and representative samples.
