JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 6, 2020 – The staff and volunteers of Magnificent Missouri and the Mid-East Section of Katy Trail State Park invite the public to join in celebration of the 10th Annual Treloar Elevator Party on Sunday, Oct. 18. Activities of the day include tram rides to the historic Peers Store, live music and food, along with a public informational meeting with park staff.
The Treloar Elevator Party activities begin at noon and will provide visitors an opportunity to tour historic Treloar Mercantile, view the corn sculpture, see old-time thrashers in action and enjoy an afternoon of music and food. The event is hosted in partnerships with Katy Land Trust, Marthasville Volunteer Fire Department and other local organizations.
The public meeting for the Mid-East Section of Katy Trail State Park will begin at 1 p.m. at the Treloar Trailhead.
The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others amid ongoing public health concerns. Come prepared with hand sanitizer and bottled water, avoid large and congested crowds, and please stay home if sick. Face coverings are encouraged when social-distancing measures are difficult to maintain, and may be required by local orders.
