Roaring River State Park reopens after temporary closure

Missouri State Parks has reopened Roaring River State Park near Cassville. The park was closed due to flash flooding after the National Weather Service declared a Flash Flood Emergency and advised the public not to travel in the area.

The park store, Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center and some day-use areas are open. Anglers can purchase daily tags at the park store. Campers may arrive starting at 3 p.m. and lodging customers should follow normal check-in procedures.

Some areas of the park remain closed. Additional advisories and alerts regarding the park are posted here.
