Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park hosts Native American Games July 6

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 18, 2019 – Games have played an important cultural role throughout all of history. Native Americans played games as a way to teach children hunting skills, sacred stories and to build community. Meet at the Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park large shelter house at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, to take part in traditional Native American games. Games are geared towards children although adults are welcome to join. This event is free and open to the public.

Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park is located 12 miles north of Marshall on Highway 122. For more information about the event, call the park at 660-886-7537.
