Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site hosts annual Memorial Day remembrance

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 18, 2018 – The Gen. John J. Pershing Boyhood Home State Historic Site invites the public to the site’s annual Memorial Day remembrance event 2 to 3 p.m. Monday, May 28. The placing of the memorial wreath at the statue of Gen. Pershing and Wall of Honor is a long-standing community tradition.

The memorial wreath will be placed by Brown and current historic site administrator Denzil Heaney. Military honors and a rifle salute will be rendered by Brookfield VFW Post #4557 and American Legion Post #182.
