St. Francois State Park welcomes World Bird Sanctuary for Raptor Basics Program June 8
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 22, 2019 – St. Francois State Park invites the public to “Raptor Basics,” presented by the World Bird Sanctuary 11 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 8. This free program features birds of prey including falcons, hawks, owls, vultures and a bald eagle. Come out to learn why these birds are so special, what you can do to help ensure their survival and what role they play in our environment. Sit back and enjoy a close-up view as some birds soar right overhead!
This program will take place inside the St. Francois State Park campground at the outdoor amphitheater. Follow the special event directional signs when you enter the park. No pets, including leashed dogs will not be allowed into this event.
St. Francois State Park is located 5 miles north of Bonne Terre at 8920 US Highway 67. For more information about the event, call the park at 573-358-2173.
