Jefferson Landing State Historic Site hosts last backyard concert August 18

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 3, 2018 – Jefferson Landing State Historic Site will host its last Backyard Concert of the summer 7 to 8 p.m., Saturday, August 18, on the lawn of the Lohman Building in downtown Jefferson City. This is a free, family friendly event.

Swampweed Cajun Dancehall Band will thrill dancers and listeners alike with its unique brand of "traditional, foot-stompin', accordion-squeezed, French-howlin' tunes from the swamps." Concert goers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets for outdoor seating. Appropriate dress for the weather and insect repellent are also encouraged.

Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, which is part of the Missouri state park system, is located at 100 Jefferson St. in Jefferson City. For more information, contact the Missouri State Museum at 573-751-2854.
