Missouri State Museum offers children's programs during August

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 23, 2019 – The Missouri State Museum is offering a fun twist for its returning summer programming with interactive programs for all ages, Tuesdays in August. 

“Learning @ 11” is a series of interactive programs exploring various aspects of Missouri’s cultural and natural history, specifically focused on ages 4-7. Programs will be held from 11 to 11:45 a.m. each Tuesday during August. Dates and program themes are listed below:

Aug. 6: Hello from the Front Lines!  Pigeons, dogs, flags and telephones during World War I
Aug. 13: Medieval Manuscripts in Missouri:  Make your own Paint and Bookmark.

“Tuesdays @ 2” is a similar program focused on ages 8-12 using activity-based programming. The dates and program themes will be the same as the “Learning @ 11” but the programs will be held from 2 to 2:45 p.m. each Tuesday.

Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the August programs will be held at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St., Jefferson City. For more information on the program, contact the Missouri State Museum at 573-751-2854.
