The Missouri Department of Natural Resources hosted five regional water infrastructure funding workshops throughout the state between June and August 2019. Each free workshop provided attendees with information about funding opportunities available for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements. The department’s Financial Assistance Center, Soil and Water Conservation’s 319 Program and Division of Energy Loan Program, the U.S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Development, and the Department of Economic Development’s Community Development Block Grant educated attendees on the agencies’ specific funding opportunities. In addition, Gilmore & Bell, P.C. provided information about financing bonds and managing related fiscal hurdles. A local leader presented an infrastructure success story in their region at each workshop and attendees had the opportunity to discuss their individual needs during the open house sessions.
