Volkswagen Trust Funds - Government Trucks
For fiscal year 2019 (July 2018 through June 2019), the department will fund $2.75 million in government truck repower and replacement projects.
Implementation Guidelines: Government Trucks
“Government” shall mean a State or local government agency (including a school district, municipality, city, county, special district, transit district, joint powers authority, or port authority, owning fleets purchased with government funds), and a tribal government or native village. The term “State” means the several States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
In November 2018, the air program released a request for applications to solicit government truck replacement projects. Eligible applicants included government-owned Class 4-8 vehicles with engine model years 2009 and older with a gross vehicle weight rating greater than 14,000 pounds. The selected applicants will receive up to 75% of the cost of a new repower engine or up to 50% of the cost of a new vehicle.
The application period closed on Jan. 11, 2019, at 5 p.m. CST.
The list below shows applicants to be awarded under either the Government Truck category. The list includes selected applicants receiving funding from February 2019 through June 2019.
