A proposed amendment to 10 CSR 10-5.381, Onboard Diagnostics Motor Vehicle Emissions Inspection, is now available for public review and comment until Dec. 9, 2021. Written comments may be submitted by mail to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Air Pollution Control Program, P.O. Box 176, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0176 or online through the Regulatory Action Tracking System.
The purpose of this proposed rulemaking is to remove Franklin County from the rule applicability section under the motor vehicle inspection and maintenance requirements included in the Gateway Vehicle Inspection Program (GVIP) for the St. Louis area. In addition, requirements throughout the rule will be examined and analyzed to determine their necessity, and if it is verified they are no longer needed, the program will rescind the requirements.
The department will hold a public hearing about the proposed amendment during the Missouri Air Conservation Commission meeting scheduled for Dec. 2, 2021. Please follow the link below for more information.
