This redesignation request is not a revision to the Missouri State Implementation Plan. This proposal requests the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to redesignate the Missouri portion of the St Louis nonattainment area to attainment under the 2015 ozone standard. This request is according to Section 107(d)(3)(E) of the Clean Air Act and demonstrates the area has met the required statutory elements to redesignate a nonattainment area to attainment. Redesignation to attainment will occur when EPA promulgates final approval of this request.
